This AARVEN original design has deep cultural inspiration. African Sun Masks, also known as ‘Bwa Sun Masks’, are traditional masks used in dances and rituals. The mask is said to encourage a good harvest, and give thanks to a successful harvest. The zig-zag motif signifies the path of the ancestors, and the sun’s nourishing rays.
Cast from high-quality recycled brass, this ring is an excellent example of Kenyan craftsmanship. Ethically made by husband and wife team, Anton and Benta, in Kenya. The gold tone finish gives it a warm smooth shine.

CARE
The best way to polish your brass jewellery is to use a brass polish, we suggest Brasso (Always follow the instructions on the bottle). If you don’t have any brass polish to hand or prefer a more natural alternative, cover half a lemon in salt and rub over your jewellery until you see the tarnish starts to lift, rinse well and polish dry with a soft cloth.
Silver needs more gentle polishing with baking soda and a damp cloth.
